Professor of Art and Art Gallery Director, Florence Alfano McEwin, Ph.D is a working artist in both the print and paint mediums.  She exhibits her work nationally and internationally.  It has been shown in Brazil, Israel, France, Belgium, Portugal and Japan, with an additional show scheduled in 2008 in Tokyo. National exhibits currently showing her work, out side of Wyoming, include shows in New Jersey and Texas. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her art and received the George and Helen Segal Foundation ( NJ) Biennial Painting Award in 2005.  Dr. McEwin earned a BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an MA from the University of Wyoming and a Ph.D from The School of the Visual Arts at University of North Texas in Denton TX

Dr. McEwin feels that it’s very important for students to learn how to be competitive within their chosen field of art and to have fun doing it!

Graduated University of north Texas. 96. I work in high temperature stoneware and porcelain. We approach the process of working in clay with great respect. And endeavor to carry forward the long lived history of forming objects from clay. oh, we have fun too!
