The Automotive Technology program provides courses for those who want to prepare for
automotive mechanics positions. There are three program options: the 64 credit hour program
leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree, the 32 credit hour program leading to a one-year certificate, or the 39 credit hour Alternative Fuel Vehicle Technology Certificate. The student who completes any of these options will be able to operate front end and diagnostic
equipment and repair automatic or manual transmissions, automotive brakes, air-conditioning
systems and engines.
