Hello! I am Chris Kennedy, Associate Professor of Communication. I have been teaching at Western since 1988. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and my Master’s degree in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Montana in Missoula. I have done additional graduate work in communication at the University of Maine in Orono and at Temple University. I have also received training in conflict mediation from organizations such as the Nebraska Mediation Association. I like many aspects in the study of communication, but my favorites pertain to interpersonal communication, gender, and conflict. I belong to the National Communication Association,  the International Listening Association, and at assorted conventions I have presented research papers regarding protest music, listening, silence, and humor.

If you’d like to chat with me about Western, communication, or other topics, please feel free to call me!

Hello! I am Ann Rudoff and I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Public Relations  and Speech from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND; and went on to earn my Master of Arts in Speech with a minor emphasis in Counseling and Guidance also at the University of North Dakota. My interests in communication study are many, however some of my favorite areas include non-verbal, intercultural, interpersonal communication; public speaking  and any other topics that challenge us to “think outside the box” with our everyday communication exchanges with people from all walks of life. For approximately 15 years I was an adjunct instructor of Communication courses at WWCC, before joining the full time ranks here! At the present time I am the Humanities Division Chair, along with my teaching responsibilities. For professional development I  belong to the National Communication Association and the National School Board Association.

I have lived in seven states; traveled in all but three of the United States, and have traveled in both Poland and France! I enjoy discussing life in general- so stop by and we can talk about different cultures, sports, WWCC, or anything you have on your mind! If my door is open, and the light is on- I am not far away!
