Industrial Maintenance


Industrial maintenance is the hands-on repair and maintenance of rotating equipment used in industrial facilities. Industrial Maintenance technicians must be proficient in many different areas including plant safety, industrial rigging, Reading Technical Schematics, bearings, lubrication, centrifugal pumps, alignment, piping systems, mechanical drives, hydraulics/pneumatics, industrial electricity, motor controls, vibration analysis, troubleshooting, machining and welding. Western's Industrial Maintenance program provides a structured yet flexible training program for those interested in developing hands-on skills in various aspects of Industrial Maintenance. If you work in industry but coming to campus is difficult, we offer training over the Internet, training that is periodically verified by hands-on workshops at Western.
