Howdy! I am an avid river runner who happens to teach math. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of South Dakota and Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Idaho. While at the University of Idaho I worked as a river guide on the Salmon River. In fall of ’95 I became a member of the math faculty at WWCC. During my years at WWCC, I have served eight years as a division chair, one term as president of WYMATYC plus I am an adjunct instructor for the WWCC Outdoor Leadership Program, I have taught whitewater rafting, backpacking and snowshoeing.
Photo from a family raft trip down Howard’s Plunge on the Payette River in Idaho. This rapid is one of my favorite rapids and is a blast to run, 15 foot drop or so into a big pool of calm water. |
