Embarking on a New Journey

"Continual improvement is an unending journey." Anonymous

As Western Wyoming Community College volleyball prepares for the 2013 season, these words will be a driving force behind their success.

"I believe it is vital for our team to understand we will seek to continually improve throughout the season focusing on the task at hand daily to ensure our end goals are achievable," 6th year head coach Rick Reynolds stated.

The Mustangs will be led by five returning sophomores and two additional freshmen who participated during the spring season. Evelina Abdurakhmanova (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and Cindy Davis (Idaho Falls, ID), returning All-Region Team award winners, along with Jocelyn Harper (Blackfoot, ID), Region IX All-Tournament Team member, are expected to shoulder the load of bringing experience to Rushmore Gymnasium. Mallory Hunsaker (Heber City, UT) and Sadie Plemel (Rock Springs, WY) should also provide quality experience from 2012. Taylor Cottle (Idaho Falls, ID), a spring transfer from BYU-Idaho, and Ashley Hill (Las Vegas, NV), who received a hardship for 2012 due to injury, should bring a mature, strong work ethic fueled by a hunger to get on the court after not competing this past fall.

Joining these seven Mustangs will be eleven freshmen from four states in the United States and two additional countries, Brazil and Serbia.
