Women's Basketball


2013-2014 Season Outlook

The 2013-2014 season is here for the WWCC Women's basketball team. The team has gone 195-79 over the past nine years and averaged over 21 wins a year in that time span. Last year's team had an outstanding season going 23-8 and finishing second in the North Sub-region with a record of 12-4. The Mustangs have had two of the better back-to-back records in school history going 47-15.

Eight players return including three starters and a medical red-shirt who started as a freshman. Returners include (5'10) Emily Moore who averaged 10.6 PPG and 7.1 RPG. She was a Region IX All-Tournament selection last year.

Also returning are starters Dannika Webb (5'5) at point and (5'7) Whitney Mitchell at the two guard. Webb averaged 6.2 PPG and 4 assists per game while Mitchell averaged 10.1 PPG and 4.6 RPG.

Other returners include Shyanne Halalilo (5'9) who started as a freshman but had knee surgery in January of 2011 so she sat out the 2012-13 season.

Erica Shenton (5'5) who averaged 2.3 PPG and 1.5 RPG, Theresa Allgaier 5'7) from Rock Springs who averaged 3.8 PPG and 1.5 RPG; Tiffany Trimble (5'10) who averaged 1.5 PPG and 2.5 RPG, and Taylor Hughes (5'10) 2.6 PPG and 2.4 RPG all return for the Mustangs.

Four outstanding freshmen will join the team including two posts. (6'1) Whitni Syrett, (6'2) Alisa Peterson and (5'10) K.C. Gubler all from Utah will join the Mustangs along with (5'6) Sadie Mortensen from Green River.
