Women's Basketball Coaches Head Women's Basketball Coach Ken Swartz Ken Swartz will begin his eighth year at Western and the program has seen steady improvement. The Mustangs have gone 68-25 over the past three years and won two conference championships. Swartz begins his 36^th year of coaching and in seven years at Western, he has been selected Central Sub-region Coach of the Year twice, Region IX Coach of the Year once and Conference Coach of the Year twice. Coach Swartz has won 493 games in his career and in 2004 was named to the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Coach holds a bachelors degree from Huron University and received his master’s in education from Albertson College. Assistant Coach Carl Romanowski Coach Romanowski will be in his eighth season and has been an integral part of the Mustang’s success since arriving at Western the same year as Coach Swartz. Coach Romanowski is a teacher and former head football coach at Rock Springs High School. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Idaho State University and an administrative endorsement from the University of Wyoming.
