2011 Season Outlook

The outlook for 2011 is brilliant for the Mustangs women's soccer team!! Coming off their best season ever, where they finished 2nd in the regular season and won the most games in team history has the team poised for further success. The Mustangs are adding 11 new freshmen in 2010 from Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. We are talented and tough and look to take on all opponents in our toughest schedule yet.

Our forwards look to be tough, as we return Ashley Roberts, Caitlyn Chesnovar (2nd team All-Region),Kelly Uriarte and we have added Deni Jacobs, from Pleasant Grove, UT, and Coral Higuera from Victor, MT.  These girls are fast, tough, and have a nose for the goal. Scoring will come easily this season with these determined women leading our attack.

The midfield returns such stalwarts as Brooke McDonald and Shelby Clayson (1st Team All-region IX). We are adding  Mindy McDonald, Alpine, UT, Baileigh Petty, Riverton, UT, and Kady Tolley, Herriman, UT. We have experience and talent with these girls. They will control the middle and rack up assists, feeding our forwards toward the goal.

Whitney Cranmore and Jessica Monson both return to anchor our defense. Britania Potts, Rock Springs, WY, Keisha Rogerson, West Valley, UT, Crystal Tebbs, Cedar Hills, UT, and Sequoia Hair, Bountiful, UT, are determined to keep the ball off of our side of the field. The defense looks to be a real strength in 2011.

Finally, our goal will be defended by Sierra Wardle, Heber City, UT, and Kenzie Williams, Deweyville, UT; they are tough, energetic and athletic. Our keepers are generals and will keep our girls focused on the field.

The Mustangs are talented and focused on taking the Region IX crown. With the help of our assistant coach, Kelsey Allen, the Mustangs are well on their way.
