Title of Event:

Singer/Songwriter Bill Staines

Monday, October 15

7 pm

Singer/Songwriter Bill Staines will perform a concert at the White Mountain Library in Rock Springs at 7 PM. Sponsored by WWCC’s Wesswick Foundation, admission is free.

Bill Staines is one of America’s greatest troubadours. He has been writing, performing, touring, and recording for over forty years. Bill is a writer in the folk tradition, penning elegant, melodic songs with sing-along choruses, such as “My Sweet Wyoming Home,” “Roseville Fair,” and “River.”

As composer David Amram said, Bill is “a modern day Stephen Foster—his songs will be around 100 years from now.”

Bill has performed in countless coffeehouses and concert halls throughout the country, as well as radio shows such as “Mountain Stage” and “Prairie Home Companion.”

In addition, Bill’s songs have been recorded by many artists in folk and country music such as Peter, Paul, and Mary, Jerry Jeff Walker, Nanci Griffith, and Celtic Thunder.
