The Cha-cha and Rumba came to the United States from Cuba while the Rumba originated in Argentina.   The Latin dances each have a unique style of its own and you will master the basic steps quickly with step-by-step instruction, one move at a time.  The Cha-cha has a tropical rhythm and with a hip-swaying movement.  In the Rhumba, all of the movement happens below the waist—learn the steps and the music does the rest.  Tango is considered the most passionate and dramatic of the ballroom dances—a fiery dance with dramatic music and dramatic movements.   Start with the basics of these dances and then work your way up to combinations and moves that are easy to learn with step-by-step explanation and demonstration for both men and women.

Waltz—the most beautiful and romantic of all ballroom dances.    Fox trot—still one of the most popular  ballroom dances of all times.    The class is taught step-by-step, starting with the very basic steps with everything carefully explained and demonstrated for both men and women.  Start with basics, then work your way up to combinations and moves that are easy to learn and impressive on the dance floor.

OPEN DANCING

NCTHE 105 G4
Instructors:  MaryAnn Huebner & Vince Weis
Fee:  $20.00
Location:  GRC-GYM
Saturday
4/26/14
 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Come practice what you’ve learned in the swing class, waltz-fox trot class and the Latin dance classes with your instructors to help you practice and perfect your steps.  Vince and MaryAnn have taught many people just like you how to dance.  They use proven techniques and a clear, easy-to-follow style.    Dancing is fun and it is a good exercise as well as a way to socialize and communicate.   Although these dances are considered ballroom dances, the basic steps are the same steps as those used in many country western dances and, therefore, can be easily adjusted to the country music beat.
