Contractor Orientation
This
course is an orientation to the various operator/producer safety
policies and procedures, which many oil and gas operators/producers
require in order to work on a well site. Using the Contractors
Expectations and Orientation Handbook, students will learn the
occupational and safety requirements for specific operator/producers,
worksite policies and procedures, hazardous situations, incidence
reporting, and emergency response plans.
At the end of class, a comprehension test will be
given. A Photo ID Card valid for 1 year will be issued at the
completion of class. Must bring a Photo ID to class.
Coffee provided.
Steve Whaley has 20 years safety experience in
both the oil field and the mining industry and many certifications from the
National Safety Council.
Myra Peak has taught industrial safety, chemistry and environmental
science for WWCC and has a master in soil chemistry from Purdue University.
Jerry Mignerey Sr. has 15 years safety experience in the oilfield and
mining industry. He has 4 years of experience in accident investigations
as Loss Prevention Team Leader and 2 years experience teaching Circadian
Rhythms for Schlumberger Well Services.
Allen Strand has 28 years experience
in both the oilfield and the mining industry. Twelve years on Solvay’s
surface rescue team, and several certifications on equipment operations
and safety related programs.
