Practical Nursing - Outreach
Western Wyoming Outreach Practical Nursing program is a Wyoming Board approved nursing program.
State of Wyoming State Board of Nursing
Western Wyoming Community College offers a part-time 3-semester Practical Nursing Program, which is based in Evanston.
There are two sections of the PN class; one in Rock
Springs on the main campus and one in Evanston at the
Evanston Outreach. The lecture/theory portion of the classes is achieved through Problem Based Learning (PBL) to help the students develop critical thinking skills. Successful completion of the program allows the student to earn a Certificate in Practical Nursing and to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX – PN). Upon licensure, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care for clients with common predictable health problems and practices in locations where supervision or direction is readily available, and policies and procedures are specified.
Admission into the PN program is granted only in the Fall Semester.
Admission forms will be available online in January of each year.
