Gifts for the Future

The Western Wyoming College Foundation was established in 1968 to ensure the continuing growth, stability, and future of the educational goals of Western Wyoming Community College. The Foundation was created to accept and acknowledge philanthropic contributions to the College from individuals, businesses and foundations. It is through these additional sources of income that Western Wyoming Community College is able to continue to provide an excellent level of education to the communities it serves.

Western Wyoming College Foundation is a nonprofit organization chartered in the State of Wyoming and is exempt from income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.  Donations to the Foundation qualify as charitable contributions to the fullest extent of current laws.

Donations to the College in the form of a check can be made out to:

WWC Foundation, P.O. Box 428, Rock Springs, WY 82902

Gifts of cash pledged to the Foundation’s permanent endowment before June 30, 2009 will be matched by the State of Wyoming. Donations can be designated in one of two ways:

Unrestricted Gifts
Gifts may be made to Western Wyoming College Foundation with no restrictions as to their use.  Unrestricted gifts will be used where the College’s needs are the greatest as determined by the College and reviewed by the Western Wyoming College Foundation Board.

Restricted Gifts
Although unrestricted gifts provide the greatest flexibility to the College in carrying out its mission, a preference may be expressed for designated areas of interest. The Gifts for the Future initiatives are: 1) Excellence in Learning, 2) Excellence in Student Support and Activities, and 3) Excellence in Employee Support. Other specific areas of interest by the donor may be used as designated, to the extent possible and practicable.
