Our mission is to help create an environment
conducive to the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of our students,
employees, and visitors and to help protect the College's physical
assets. It is the philosophy of Protective Services to provide
competent, friendly, and helpful service at Western Wyoming
Community College. These services will be rendered impartially to
all. The major objectives of the Protective Services Department are:

Provide professional protective services for the
safety and well-being of students, employees and visitors

Provide friendly assistance to students,
employees and visitors such as finding meeting rooms, un-locking
rooms, and so forth

Enforce applicable College policies in a fair
and consistent manner and report violations of federal, state or
local laws to the appropriate law enforcement agencies
-
Protect the College’s physical resources
-
Cooperate and work closely with College
administrators, faculty and other employees as needed
-
Cooperate and coordinate with federal, state,
and local law enforcement agencies as needed
-
Provide leadership for and respond to College
emergencies as appropriate

Maintain a well-trained staff
Protective Services provide 24 hours a day and 7
days a week coverage. We are responsible for the enforcement of
College policies and procedures, as well as the general functioning
of various Physical Recourses systems. We provide patrol of the main
campus and residence halls. Protective Services completes reports on
incidents that occur on the campus and coordinate reporting and
investigative efforts with the Rock Springs Police Department.
