Did You Know?

  •  * Approximately 1 out of 7 people who receive their high school diploma do so through passing the GED Tests.
    * 95% of U.S. employers, colleges, and universities accept high school credentials based on successfully
    passing the GED Tests.
    * The average age of persons taking the GED Tests is 24.7 years old.
    * 65% of GED test-takers plan to enter college, a university, trade or technical school, or business school during the next year.
    * Wyoming has over 1,800 candidates take the GED exams each year with 1,400 completing and passing.

Certificate of High School Equivalency Requirements

Anyone 18 years of age or older, who has not received a high school diploma or previously obtained an Equivalency Diploma or Certificate, may participate in the High School Testing programs. Candidates age 16 and 17 years old, who are not currently enrolled in public school, may submit age-waiver applications. High School Equivalency Testing is prohibited to those under the age of 16.
