Why Western?
Get a Great Start...
Western Wyoming Community College is a great place to start your career in geology.  Western is affordable yet has small classes with more one-on-one opportunities to interact with other students and to get the help you need from friendly faculty.  Western will provide you a solid foundation in geology so that you can succeed when you pursue further education.

...and Keep On Going.
As an NCA accredited college, Western's courses transfer smoothly to four-year colleges and universities.  Western has specific transfer agreements with the University of Wyoming, Brigham Young University, Utah State University, Weber State University, University of Utah, Black Hills State, Chadron, University of Northern Colorado, and Colorado State University.  These agreements provide for guaranteed transfer of general education and other required courses that you take at Western.
