Western’s Theatre program has a long standing reputation for professional and award winning theatre, musical theatre and dance productions. Our program offers talented and dedicated students many opportunities. Our primary objective is to nourish the individual in a safe, high-quality, professional environment. The curriculum is carefully crafted to educate and train well-rounded theatre artists. Our small class sizes enable students to get the personal attention from our professors, allowing students to develop at a pace that is comfortable for them. This also makes it possible to guarantee performance and technical opportunities every year for each student – opportunities rare for freshman or sophomores in four-year programs. Our quality education is founded on creating a friendly and safe environment allowing students to feel more comfortable in experimenting and making bold decisions. Among all of our hard work, we make time to have fun. All of the members of our department share a love of the theatre. This attitude prevails through all our work, and helps to support each other.
